For the person who commented about Newcastle Permanent, The numbers are from Newcastle permanent, thats how they know who banks with them. Newcastle Permanent have asked Kantar to do the research on behalf of them. They even have a disclaimer on their website that Kantar is doing research for them and that it is all legit

That only applies to telemarketing. It doesn't apply to market research. You always have the option to just ask to be removed though.

In response to the various people representing the company calling from this number. Calling random people who did not sign up or ask to be called is spam. Calling people to take their personal data to then profit from is absolutely a scam. You are bothering random people, for your own profit, and they get nothing in return...

Caller: KANTAR Kantar is a Market Research Company. They do research on a wide range of topics on behalf of various clients.
Why do they call you? Simply to conduct quick and easy research over the phone.
Why cant you email me the survey or something? Research is usually conducted in a very specific way and unfortunately cannot be done over a simple link. Its called Computer Aided Telephone Interviewing.
How do I know this isnt a scam? Kantar is part of the Australian Market Research Society. A website containing a list of valid genuine market research companies that all follow the standards and code of conduct within market research and quality control. Kantar follows ISO 20252 standards, ESOMAR (Europe equivalent) and AMSRO regulations. IF a company does not follow these standards then they're not real research. https://researchsociety.com.au/
Where did they get my number? There are many possible ways a market research company gets their numbers. Either directly from a client, SAMPLE PAGES or a process called RDD (random digit dial) where a computer randomly generates a list of numbers and calls them to see who is on the other end of the line. https://samplepages.com.au/ That's why when you say "my number is silent" it can still be called because it just happened to be generated randomly. Your number is still silent.
I'm on the Do Not Call Register. why are you calling me? The DNC list only applies to telemarketers and calls involving a sales component. you can confirm this on the DNC website. Market research and Charity calls are exempt from the DNC list. https://www.donotcall.gov.au/consumers/consumer-overview/receiving-calls-after-registering/
You may have been contacted by Kantar because they want to get a representation of different communities without actually having to survey the entire population. Or get feedback to clients on how their performance has been on particular products or services. This is your opportunity to have a say on particular topics of interest and contribute to an overall statistic.
The Information you provide to any market research company will not be linked to you or your number directly and will become part of an overall statistic. Majority of surveys/studies take on average 10 mins. and They wont call again. Any time you provide would be appreciated
If you do not wish to be called again please just say so.

Are you kidding! If your supervisor is harrassing you, that is BULLYING. You are HARRASSING US!
Go get a job someone else, there are plenty of jobs in retails and restaurants rather than calling people who didn't want to be called and unsolicited.
