(02) 8302 6100 is the number that Telstra uses for following up on complaints lodged through the Telstra online complaint process. It is a legitimate Telstra outbound calling number

It's Telstra.. seems as though none of the workers know how to read client files online.. Telstra is the worst company I've ever had to deal with!

The number is from a Telstra call center based in the Philippines. It's how Telstra reduce costs and it's effectiveness to deal with our local needs. Once you contact your service provider with a bill or service inquiry, get used to the fact you will speak with a Filipino rep and they will nag you with call backs to either sell you another product or ask how well you are feeling today. The upside is all it requires is for you to recognise these numbers by monitoring your calling-number-display and dont answer them. I use a system whereby i pick up then immediately hang up. I need to be as tenacious as they are. They soon tire of the effort required and stop calling .. for a few weeks

We are having problems with our Telstra Lines. Ann from Telstra has been calling and checking our lines. For US this is a legit call.
Ann has been very polite and very helpful. she also has a very nice laugh :)
I can understand why people would be concerned. I receive sooo soooo many calls from "Telstra". But this really is Telstra.

Caller: Scammer pretending to be Telstra I received a text message indicating it was from Telstra who would be calling later to confirm my account holder details. I've held the same account (business) for around 14 years. It raised my suspicions as there were typo mistakes in the text which I would not have expected from Telstra. When the lady called me I indicated I was not comfortable to pass on details. She advised I call 132000 to check with Telstra and she gave me her employee number. I called Telstra. They advised the (02) 8302 6100 number was not associated with Telstra. They also advised the employee number the lady gave was not a Telstra employee number, although it followed the correct format - the letter D, followed by six digits. He said it was likely they were giving random numbers in the hope they guessed correctly. The gentleman also said Telstra would not text to say they were calling to check account details. If checking were necessary, they would email and the process would be undertaken on line.
The lady called back in the afternoon. When I said I was not willing to discuss my details with her she then referenced a letter that had supposedly been sent to me (it hadn't). She asked if I had taken the employee number of the person I spoke with. I said I had not as I knew the 132000 line was staffed by Telstra so I had no doubt the person I spoke with was genuine. I think she wanted the number so that she then had a confirmed number that would 'prove' she was a Telstra employee. I am unsure of what country she originated from but her accent was Asian. She was unable to confirm any other numbers or services I have linked to the same account, only the mobile number she was calling me on. Fishy much.

After reporting a phone problem to Telstra we've had calls and messages left on other phones from this number, one not a Telstra connection. It seems these people can get into information they shouldn't have. Report them.

Very strange. This call came through as a voicemail. Could here asian male having a very casual telephone conversation to a female on another line. I didn't realise you could still get crossed lines in this age of digital telephony switching.

Very suspicious. Just got a call from this number and it was a Philippino girl asking to confirm my details on my bill!! Why would they need to do that? She read out all my details like my name, address, d.o.b and mobile numbers, she asked me about an email address which doesn't exist, and I said no that's not my email address, but then she read the second address and it was correct. I don't like these calls, they make me feel like our personal details are accessible by stranger overseas and they can do whatever they want with that data.

I just called Telstra 132200 to check whether the (02) 8302 6100 number is Telstra or not. I received 5 calls from (02) 8302 6100 today and one that I answered. The Philippino girl who called me on (02) 8302 6100 said she was from Telstra. When I called Telstra 0n 132200 and spoke to complaints the Phillipino consultant said it is a default number for Telstra. I have never seen it before so am not sure if it is new or what. And looking at this chat I am still worried.

Three of my family got hang-up calls within minutes from this number yesterday, (one ring then hang up) including my father's mobile which is an unlisted pay as you go number, just after I rang Telstra to report a fault in my mother's home phone line. He also rang my sister and asked for other numbers and details (which she didn't give) and knew nothing about a fault in the home line. Dodgy. If it really was Telstra why didn't they just ring me (long enough for me to answer) seeing as I was the one reporting the fault.

Caller: Scammer pretending to be Telstra. Appears they're still up to old tricks, just had a call today at work, same deal, enquiring about 'account holder of the businesses mobile phones. I replied that Telstra know as they have the details. 'Telstra' lady then advised there were 2 different business and 2 different ABN numbers listed as the owners of the phones!! Then, same deal referred to the 'imaginary' letter that had not arrived. Then she wanted my personal details, which I refused to supply. 'Telstra' lady said that they will 'resend' the letter which I'm sure will never arrive.

They said it was telstra calling about my wife's account, but did not know her number. When asked if it was about a business account, they said yes but had no idea about other numbers linked to the account. Strangely the asked for my wife by her maiden name - more than 20 years after she changed. When I protested I was put on hold and a supervisor then came on asking questions, but did not seem to know the basics about our account. Since I have had several one ring calls from this number. I reckon it's a fraud call.
