These people said they were following up on a motor vehicle accident but I haven't had one for two years. Caller could barely speak English. Said I might be entitled to compensation.

Got a missed call from this number yesterday. Thought I'd check here first. Good thinking. So glad we have this reverse number lookup now.

This number has been calling my mobile every day for the last month, it actually calls me 3 or more rimes a day because I wont answer the phone when I see this number. (02) 8188 3755 after reading everyone's comments about the it. What I dont understand is why are they being so persistent with my number & how did they get it when I've registered on the governments "do not call registrar".. Its despicable how customer privacy isn't being upheld by Telecom suppliers.

Report them to your telecomm provider for harassment. Let them call you 3 times and then take the time of the call and lodge a complaint!

Claiming to be calling from an insurance company of sorts but would not disclose the company name. Had my name address and phone number and knew that I had been in a motor vehicle accident. Claimed the company was situated in St Kilda Melbourne but has an 02 number.

This is a scam. Told me the same as what others here have posted. Claimed to call from Melbourne but was an 02 area code he called from. When I called the number back (02) 8188 3755 it rings once and then goes to a busy tone. Beware!!!!

I started receiving calls from this group 1 week after I lodged a claim with RACQ (my fault, no other car involved). They asked if I had been in an accident in the past 3 years. I just hung up, knowing it was a spam call. they kept calling back. my 6 year old next answered the phone and they asked her if she had been in an accident in the past 3 years. she started to rattle off every accident she could remember, starting with kicking her toe on a chair. we were in hysterics, so encouraged her to continue until they finally hung up.
6 months later, and they have started calling again. This time, they asked to speak to Miss Kat. When I said they had a wrong number they asked to speak to whoever answered the phone! hahaha

Called me up asking if I had been in a motor vehicle accident in the last 3 years, I said no even though I had as I could tell it was a scam but lack of English. He asked again but this time asking if I was a passenger or pedestrian.

This number rang my wife and asked about an accident she had. She hadn't had an accident, she said it sounded very suspicious and hung up. I tried to call the number back it rang several time and then answers and hangs up straight away. All very strange.

I called back number (02) 8188 3755 rang once then goes to busy tone.

I had a call from "Saxon" at "Follow-up Services" asking for me by name & he actually sounded Australian. Said he was following up on our information that he had about our accident in the last couple of years. I asked what information he had & he rambled something about they didn't have actual specifics of the incident, but they had a recent server outage which might have corrupted things and it was probably a mistake, so he would kindly remove me so I didn't get any more calls... I can only wish!!!
Was a pretty quick call after I started asking questions.

Also received a call from this number and they said they were following up on a car accident I had in the last 4 years. When I questioned them further about how they got my number and name they said from webform and I continued questioning them on how they got my name and number and they then said it was a mistake and eventually they couldn't get off the phone quick enough. They called themselves Follow-up Services. I have also registered on the governments "do not call registrar".

I received a call as well. No company name provided as well. My scooter has been knocked over during an accident but no damage to myself. As soon as I asked how they got my phone number, as I had already spoke to an Allianz staff member so I didn't need more information, he tried to finish the phone call. I asked again where they got my phone number and no reply. Then I mentioned that it is illegal what they do and he put down.
These kind of things piss me off and something should be done

Got a call today from (02) 8188 5336 wanting to 'follow up' on an accident I'd had. I was involved in an accident in 1980, and that was in a car park and was never claimed on by either party. I haven't had one since. Asked the guy to name me ; he couldn't. Asked him my address; didn't know and hung up. Obvious scam. How they got my number I don't know, but I also am on the 'do not call' register.

In the last week I've had 4 phone calls from "Follow Up Services" ... 2 on the home phone and 2 on the mobile and I've hung up on them everytime. Have had 3 "Indian" accents 1 Pommy. The number the call came from is (02) 8317 3159. Usually they are unable to even tell me my name and only say that they are calling in regards to a motor vehicle incident. When I called them back from the home phone, they offered to remove my number from their database.

By any ethical measure this is a scam. Have reported to scamwatch.gov.au

Got a call today same as everybody else. Claimed to be from accident helpline investigating accidents over last 2 years. She was poorly spoken and it sounded like a call centre in the background. When I questioned her she hung up.

multiple missed calls.. Told the woman to stop calling politely, she wanted to argue that it was the first time, maybe hers but so many missed calls from this number. finally cracked it and said it was a work phone and to f*$#@ing calling, she then swore back and i hung up.. 7 calls one after another after another!!
