From Telstra telling me someone in California is using an Optus email account linked to me (which I don't have) and can I open Safari so they can check my internet connection.

Said they’re from commbank, didn’t ask for my details and just asked if I had purchased $400 overseas.

Didn't leave a message

Said they were calling about a charge on my PayPal account that didn’t exist. Also mentioned my name so they’ve done research. Don’t fall for it, definitely a scam

Called and left no voicemail. Probable spam.

Reckons they are from PayPal and James Smith is charging my account from California

They/ it hung up straight away.

Pretended to be from Amazon and wanted to talk about my account. I don't have an account with Amazon.

Claimed to be from Amazon. Did I make a purchase for $1,600.00 this morning? Hung up before they started to give me instructions.
