same bull saying account deleted due to tax evasion and that warrant for arrest and to call that number back, was all done under an recorded message with a name (muffled/ not clear) being mentioned. What are they trying to achieve. Not happy as my number is supposed to be private!

Same scam, left a computerised voice message about my impending arrest due to tax invasion

They are still going with this one. Apparently I'm to be arrested for tax evasion too.

My grandfather's answering machine had a message from some guy with an accent saying he was from the Australian tax department and claimed that a lawsuit had been claimed against my grandfather for tax evasion. He then said a police officer would soon arrive with an arrest warrant. This was the number the man left. I didn't call back.

Received calls at two different properties. First one advising me to ph Tax Office on (02) 6064 2043, second one advising me that the Local Police were coming around to issue a warrant for my arrest and to ph 1300 131 296.
