Nice try Lion. You keep putting these message on these boards and think we are stupid enough to believe you. Your staff are never polite and they never stop calling even when a person has proven they aren't the person you are looking for. Why don't you all grow a conscious and start treating people with respect. 99% of people do not set out not to pay their debts, but you and the big banks are just leaches who only care about money. Hope karma bites you all in the arse and something bad happens to you to put you in this position and then you may be a bit more compassionate.

Going bankrupt is not the end of the world and banks do lend to previous bankrupts after time. There are millionaires out there who went bankrupt - it gives you a new start and allows you to accumulate wealth - just don't make the same mistake second time around. All I owe are the banks and they make billions and debtor collectors like Lion and Creditcorp are just leaches on society who take advantage of people in a bad situation. Most don't set out to not pay their bills, but bad things happen and banks and debt collectors don't care if you are dying, they just want their money. So screw them - they would get their money back if they were more compassionate.

These people use any means to track you, electoral roles, car registrations, professional memberships - anything. They buy your debt for 10% of its original value and then try to collect the full amount while charging you 25% interest. Just lie to them if you don't want to talk to them. Don't give your date of birth as you don't really know who is on the end of the phone - could be a scam to get your details. Don't give any details and deny the debt - many people can have the same name and many women change their names on marriage so your new name could be the old name of someone they are after.

Maybe they should actually buy data files worth a damn. They called my phone this morning at 6am. For a Bonnie ****. When I said this was not her number, they spat the dummy and started getting quite snide and snarky. So eventually the conversation went something like this: LF:Do you know Bonnie? ME:Why, who are you? LF:I have some private business with her. Do you know her? ME: You still haven't identified yourself. LF: Who are you? Why are you answering Bonnie's phone? ME: I have to advise you that unless and until you identify yourself, any further conversation on your part will be deemed to be an acceptance of the following terms and conditions. For the first 15 minutes of the conversation will be charged at $25. Each subsequent 15 minute duration will be billable at $15 to the business billed for this telephone number. Do you understand? LF: I need to speak to Bonnie about a personal finance debt... ME: Thank you for your business. An invoice will be sent to your business address in the next 3-5 working days. Please identify yourself to continue this discussion. LF:...click

They only have to stop for 28 days, if you dont respond or take reasonable action to address the debt they can then ring your place of employment again.

Well I do owe money tp plenty that I payed years of interest on, more than enough to cover the original loan and I had a serious health issue like andy, and only 1 was supportive. Bankruptcy isnt that different from having serious defaults/judgements against you, only it clears your current debts. Getting a loan with any of them against your name isnt ever going to be easy, so might just end up going bankrupt. Then 1 day when I inheret more thana million and own my place worth that a banks not going to give me a 50 grand loan against my property cause I wad bbankrupt. ? Yeah right

Got a call from them this morning, early! wanting to know if I knew my neighbours... what a nerve. If they owe you money don't call people in the neighbourhood to do your dirty work. Pay a debt collector...

These people are the scumb of the earth. They have called neighbours disclosing personal details and trying to get more. Surely someone should be able to take them to court on that count. They also call at all hours, outside the regulated times! HOW CAN YOU GET TO LION FINANCE????? I Think they are using the electrol roll to obtain names and addresses of people who live around you, and then they get their phone number from the white pages. Can the Government stop them??
