Hi Everyone. An update: NCAT agreed with me and found in my favour. The Sheriff will be going to his house shortly to collect the money owed to me. They also told me that Mitchell is NOT a licensed carpenter despite advertising to be one on his website and various classified websites. I have contacted Fair Trading to let them know of the ruling and it will be up to them whether they will prosecute him or not. With his history of credit card fraud (he scammed a clients credit card in his previous job - reported to Illawarra Police) and now this string of frauds hopefully something will finally be done. They have also started up under a new business name called "MPM Carpentry Services" but thankfully their Service Seeking page was shut down after complaints.

Thanks to everyone who has contacted me so far who has also been scammed by Mitchell and Hayley. I can safely say that with the response from people, Mitchell and Hayley will not be getting away with this! A big congratulations to those who have contacted Fair Trading and have submitted applications to NCAT and filed a report with the police. With multiple people reporting the crimes there is less chance of them ripping off more innocent people in the future.
